Fundementals.......
This is an unbelievable tool, whether you are teaching the beginers or even using it as a refresher for even the most seasoned player. I watched it prior to showing it to my kids and was amazed at how he put the instructions into easy to use and understand instructions. I have played ball my entire life and I still walked away picking up a few pointers that I had either forgoten or never used. I would recomend this for everyone, T-Ball, Babe Ruth League, or even High School. Sometimes it pays to take things back to the basics. I found it to be very helpful for me, even at 30 I used a couple of the tips he had to get me out of a slump. I bought several baseball instruction videos on ebay to help my son teach his 7 year old so I have a basis of comparison. This video is very poorly done. The video "Mom, Can You Teach Me How To Hit" is excellent and so are all the Marty Schupak videos. "Play Ball" may have an official Little League endorsement but I think it's lousy. One word, Cheesy! I think it might be too much for a 7 or 8 year old to remember and take in at one time. I also don't understand why Jeff Bagwell is showing the viewer how to stand but then he says something like "I stand wide which is not right so don't listen to me". Huh? Okay then, why are you teaching my kid how to stand?

Perfect for Little League aged kids and their parents
Covers basics about stance, swing, and so on. Not too technical, so both kids and adults can benefit from watching it. Both this and the Basic Pitching DVD from the same company are worth the investment if you want to help your child ages 8 - 15 to improve.
