Classic swashbuckler
The movie itself is one I have enjoyed for years. It's not on the shelves in the store, so when it appeared on EBay, putting in a bid made sense. I am no judge of others' taste, so perhaps it is best to quote Lincoln: This is exactly the sort of thing you will like if you like exactly this sort of thing. It's a well-made movie about the Three Musketeers, so it has lots of swords and horses. My discipline when I buy something blind-- where there is no way for me to check out the product in advance-- is never spend more than you can afford to lose. So far, my record at EBay is perfect. I have not bought anything that wasn't worth at least what I paid for it. In many cases, I got far better value than I anticipated. Swashbuckling Action!!!!
A totally excellent movie!!! The 3 Musketeers is a great movie. It has a great cast, great plot, and LOTS of sword fighting! The fight scenes are well done. The plot is solid and the arch villian is a classic evil doer. It's up to the courageous Musketeers to set things right and save the day. And boy do they ever! The movie is well directed, well acted, with a solid plot that moves right along. You won't be bored with this movie!!!! If you like action this movie is for you! Good Times!
Very good Disney rendition of the Three Musketeers. The characters are well played, the action is almost non-stop, the scenery luscious, and the plot fast moving and followable. It is like the Pirates movies, you really get a feel for many of the characters. It does not remain completely true to the original story, Disney probably thinking that a clandestine affair between the Queen of France and a Duke in England was not family friendly, they managed to keep most of the tension by twisting the plot a bit and making the Cardinal out to be a bad guy. All for one and One for all... I will be watching it again.Very good Disney rendition of the Three Musketeers. i love the musketeers. i love when chivalry reigned. I am a big fan of the works of Alexandre Dumas.I wish all of his books about the musketeers could be made into movies. This movie helps women remember that there are men in this world that are still willing to do what is right. Whether it be saving the King or defending the women you love. I wish that I could have lived in their time. And lived with men of their caliber. We need more men like Aramis, Athos, Dartagnan, and Porthos in this day and age.i love the musketeers. i love when chivalry reigned.
