Product Information

This is a thorough presentation of the Rosicrucian system of Initiation by Dr. Paul Foster Case. He explains that Rosicrucianism is based upon earthly organizations, but on personal unflodment, and clearly describes the distinctive marks of a Rosicrucian. The treatise is divided into two main parts by Dr. Case. The first is a careful examination and interpretation of the principle Rosicrucian maneifestos, the Fama Fraternitatis and the Confessio Fraternitatis. The second part is an explanation of the Rosicrucian Grade system, as applied to the diagram of the Tree of Life and Tarot attributions. By participating in the outlined procedures, aspirants are put on the right track of preparing themselves for union with the Higher Self, which may or may not include group work with an outer order or fraternity. The first editions of 1927, 1928 and 1933 were of limited publication. The fourth and most complete expansion of the text by Paul Case ws finished in 1937, revised by him in 1953 just before his death , and published in by Weiser in 1985. It represents the full maturity of his thought on this subject.

Between confusing my tracking information for another order (making me think my package had been delivered states away), my book having completely different cover art than the image used in the eBay listing, my book not being packed well and suffering some damage, as well as the other shady behavior listed in other reviews (like my book coming from Amazon and the seller immediately jacking up the price of the original listing after my purchase), I'd say this is a shady seller to entirely avoid.

I was fluctuating between giving this 4 or 5 stars. There's water damage at the top of the book that stains most of the pages. It's not bad and doesn't bother me much, but it was unexpected. I went over the description and water damage was not mentioned, but the Book was listed as Good Condition. I assume this is why this was the cheapest listing I found at $54, but I would have still bought it even if the water damage was mentioned. But that's just me. Figured this bears mentioning for others.

    This is truly a wonderful book. It is one of the most deeply knowledgeable books I have ever read on the Tarot. I had often wondered about a comment I had heard many years before that if you had nothing but the Tarot cards one would have insights into the world we live in and also one's self. Now that was a powerful statement but I seemed to find no answers in many of the other books written on the subject. This books leads one to know about the soul self like no other of its kind. I just delight in it every time I pick it up. It is full of amazing knowledge on many different levels. And, that's the beauty of it. One can read other books in between but will find everything in the book of great interest again and again. I keep it near my bed for it makes me so happy to touch upon ...

    The best book out there on the Rosicrucian Manifestos.

    This is possibly the most thorough and lucid explanation of the Rosicrucian allegories of the Fama Fraternitatis and the Confessio Fraternitatis ever written. Included is a great deal of analysis by Gemtria. This book also presents the logical expansion of these wonderful texts into an entire system of spiritual unfoldment. The second half of the book is an in-depth analysis of the Rosicrucian grades. Case's book is not light reading - but rewards the earnest reader.

    I know of nothing like this book in the way of deep scholarship, illuminated understanding, and transformative potential. If "used as directed" you will be amazed by the inner country you discover.
