    Stand By Me Excellent

    What a great Movie about how great it was to be a kid going on an adventure. Brings back so memories of my youth. River Phoenix was superb, as well as all the other members in his little gang. All in all, I really enjoyed it. Made me wanna be young again. Stand By Me is a great addition to my growing Movie Collection.

    Stand by Me (DVD, 2000)

    A tender coming of age film about four young boys. Each one on a personal quest to wrestle their personal deamons. Gordie (Will Wheaton) the creative one, Chris (River Phoenix), the tough kid with the physically abusive family, Vern (Jerry O'Connell), the fat-boy who is mostly a tagalong, and Teddy (Corey Feldman) a troubled kid with a death wish. They all are off to see a dead body twenty miles down the tracks from their small Oregon town. Amid numerous misadventures, Gordie, Chris, Vern, and Teddy savor what may be their last chance to revel in the simple life of children; around the corner is a future that could tear them apart, not to mention a tough teen gang who desires local fame by finding the body first.

    Excellent movie!

    I love this movie, and have for many years. If any if you have never seen it, I highly recommend that you watch it. So many relatable things happen in this movie, and takes you back to when you were at that age. Yes, it's a story about a group of friends finding a body, but it's really about the bond that is created during the adventure. Strengthening friendships and trust. 5 stars all the way for this very well directed movie, based on the short novella by Stephen King, "the body" Please friends, do yourself a favor and watch this movie if you haven't already. ❤

    Great story of childhood how it used to be for me back in the '60's (even through this was set it in an earlier time)

    One of my favorite movies because it tells the story of my childhood so close, I would only have to change a few things to make it my own......I think it's that way for allot of people.
