Wanting to try the version of night prayers in book form instead of looking at my phone before bed. So far, it has been helpful.

  • Favorite sentimental book of all time.

This is a long slow moving book and I mean this in a good way. At the last page I was both relieved and sorry for it to end. It is a great book for a book club if you have readers who need a break from some of the typical book club short picks. It tells the life story of a group of ladies, their families and friends starting in the mid 1800's. It is set in a fictional small Ohio town. But the problems, heartaches and joys are not that diffirent from what families and friends endure today. The main difference is that few of us live in the same town all of our life. I found that difference was interesting to imagine what my life would have been like if I had never left my "home" town.
