The item I received was defective, wants to mechanic installed the part. He has a cranking sound to the right hand side when you turn the wheel in to the left is perfectly normal. When you turn left, my mechanic said it was not a furnished part it was used.

the first 2004 avalanche steering unit i received had no indication of rebuilding, adjuster hadnt been touched. the unit leaked worse than mine, and had 2 in of slack in the steering wheel. it was replaced with one that had old fluid and dirt poured out of the connections. got a refund but 12 hrs of extra work and a driveway covered in fluid. this should be a crime selling junk like this.
