One of the two devices had significant mechanical damage. That had obviously happened before packaging since the package had very good padding so that kind of damage could not have happened in transport. The main issue was the SFP module guides that had so much damage that module installation was impossible. Luckily I was able to straighten the guides with moderate effort. Luckily the devices seem to work normally.
