For Serious Translation Effort
This Hungarian English dictionary is actually both an Hungarian to English and an English to Hungarian dictionary, with both section very ample. Forget the pocket dictionaries, the phrase books, the on-line services. This books beats them all. I am a genealogist and frequently need to translate Hungarian text, much of it illegible. The pocket dictionary I purchase was useless as it had only the most common modern words, and the on-line dictionary I used did not work well if I was guessing at the spelling, as a couple of letters would make the results come back empty. But this rather large Hungarian-English dictionary is everything I need.
