Fans of The Postal Service will not be disappointed.
I'll admit. "We Will Become Silhouettes" is one Postal Service's more boring tracks. Luckily for you, there's much more to this release than that one song. This cd introduces an entirely new Postal Service song titled "Be Still My Heart" and if enjoy the rest of the band's work, you'll love it from beginning to end. The lyrics are fantastic and the beat is typical Postal Service. Track three, the remix of "Nothing Better" is the second reason to grab this. I'm not going to say it's necessarily an improvement upon the original, but it is different and interesting enough to warrant many, many listens. In fact, I really can't pick a favorite between the original and the remix. The final track is a remix of "We Will Become Silhouettes" that takes a slow song and makes it slower. ... I'll admit. "We Will Become Silhouettes" is one Postal Service's more boring tracks. Luckily for you, there's much more to this release than that one song. Like I said, if you like the Postal Service, you won't be disappointed. There's something for everything on this album and I feel the positives easily warrant a 5/5. It'll certainly help tide you over until the next album arrives.
