Product Information

Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks) is a good father and a successful architect. But he's also a lonely widower. One night his precocious 8-year-old son Jonah calls a late-night radio talk show seeking a cure for his father's despondency. When Sam hesitantly takes the phone and discloses the story of his magic-filled marriage, he proves to be a deeply feeling and gentle man. His plight profoundly moves the program's sympathetic female listeners, and thousands of women write in offering to help him `recover' from his mournful insomnia. Recently betrothed Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) is one of the many listeners touched by Sam's story. To complicate matters, she's afraid her upcoming marriage promises stability and security but no excitement. Although Annie's supposed to be driving to her future in-laws' house for the holidays, she knows that she's already fallen in love with Sam and is on the road to destiny.     Sleepless in Seattle

    I bought this movie because of Meg Ryan. On many levels this movie is excellent. First of all I like the story line. It's a 'Destiny Movie' and how 2 people from different parts of the US find each other only to find the perfect true love. Tom Hanks was good but having his real Wife play the Sister kinda made me sick. It sort a ruined the movie, but this is just my opinion. Overall I really enjoy watching this movie late night.     Sleepless in Seattle

    Have watched this movie several times and enjoyed it all over again. I visited Seattle last Summer and to see the places I saw was like a mini trip again. Tom Hanks was his usual wonderful and loved the actor who played his son..Meg and Rosie a great combo as friends..A feel good movie,but nothing wrong with that..

    Sleepless in Seattle (1993, VHS)

    It has been a favorite of mine for years because of the subject matter and the way Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan and Ross Malinger and the rest of the cast brought to life the story. It is a fun movie to relax with. I bought the new VHS copy, not DVD, because a Special Ed. student requested it for Christmas.
