Simply Adore this Movie
The Japanese versions to their beloved films are so much better than the English dubbed versions. The cheesiness was cut down so much and everything felt more natural. The battle between the monsters along with the music was so epic, I was getting cold chills and nearly teared up it was so beautiful. I truly believe that Mothra vs Godzilla is one of the all time greatest of the Godzilla series. It has great characters, a good message, the battle scenes are god-like and it feels like everyone gave it their all and it shows. Mothra vs Godzilla is a must have, like required to be in your collection if you enjoy the greatness that is the Tokusatsu genre. This where I believe the Godzilla series truly began and it only got better from this point on (Minus All Monsters Attack). Here is to ... Great Movie and Great Quality
I'm so used to blu rays I thought the picture on DVD would be a step down, but the image on this disc is excellent. The movie is so good, very exciting with great special effects. PLUS it has the AWESOME scene of the US Navy guys blasting Godzilla from their ship, which is missing on the blu rays. Very happy with this purchase!

It introduced me to the Toho remastered collection, now I am trying to get all of the movies. the extras and the ability to watch the original Japanese version compared to the American released was great.

Out of all the Godzilla flicks out there, this is the best. It has some of the best modeling of any old monster movie. Good plot, good musical score. Very original. The electrified nets are also very original. This is the last Godzilla movie made where he is the villain. This particular DVD has the English and Japanese versions as well as audio commentary. DVD is actually a genuine TOHO release so it also comes with some great original art. Even though this movie has been released on DVD before, this is by far the best release yet.Out of all the Godzilla flicks out there, this is the best.
