Shipped very fast! Book was not brand new as indicated. I found 2 paper items which appeared to be used as bookmarks within the book upon inspecting. Front pages, which are typically glued to the cover, were torn in between the spine. But book was still in good condition.

  • THE LILLY BROTHERS CD

This is a fantastic CD if you like the "old-time" country/bluegrass music this is a must for your library. The Smithsonian did a great job of putting the songs together and adding Don Stover to the Lilly Brothers. I purchased the CD because my husband and I do a radio show every Tuesday, that is all "old time", traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. The radio station had a copy and we had played a couple of tunes from their CD and really liked it and decided to add it to our collection as we play mostly from our collection due to the fact that the radio has a limited supply of bluegrass music.

  • Charming country music !

The CD came in a plastic hardcase. The sound is excellent. There are many singer duets with rich voices. The music is quite well balanced : from piece to piece different instruments bring the main music line with timely solos of some others. Not every piece get every instrument to come in front of the scene. The whole thing listenend to in a row left me with the feeling I had a good evening at the shown : I was surprised to be in my living room when I opened the eyes ! Finally a great CD of American country music.

  • True Bluegrass at its Best

Pure and great bluegrass from a time long ago. The Lilly Brothers are awesome.
