Reviews
" Political Conflict and Economic Interdependence Across the Taiwan Strait is arguably one of the most important works of political science theory written about the Taiwan Strait written in recent years and makes a substantial contribution to our understanding of political decision-making."--Taipei Times "This is first rate political science, presenting a very well formulated and interesting research question--does economic interdependence mitigate inter-state conflict, particularly for the Taiwan-mainland relationship. There is no book like it on the market, and its ability to summarize Cross-Straits ties and put them within a theoretical and analytical framework is terrific."--David Zweig, Chair Professor, Division of Social Sciences, and Director, Center on Chinas Transnational Relations, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology "This important book provides an innovative analysis of relations across the Taiwan Strait and, more generally, enhances our theoretical understanding of the political economy of national security in an era of globalization." --Thomas Christensen, Professor of Politics and International Affairs and Director of the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program, Princeton University "[T]his study addresses a number of important issues that relate to both cross-strait relations as well as theories of international relations."--Steven Goldstein, Pacific Affairs, " Political Conflict and Economic Interdependence Across the Taiwan Strait is arguably one of the most important works of political science theory written about the Taiwan Strait written in recent years and makes a substantial contribution to our understanding of political decision-making."--Taipei Times, " Political Conflict and Economic Interdependence Across the Taiwan Strait is arguably one of the most important works of political science theory written about the Taiwan Strait written in recent years and makes a substantial contribution to our understanding of political decision-making."—Taipei Times, "This book is perhaps the first one attempting to build a framework to analyze the political and economic relations between China and Taiwan during the period from President Lee Teng-hui to President Chen Shui-bian . . . I recommend this book for those who are interested in the long-term relationship between Beijing and Taipei."—Wei-Hsiu Huant, The Developing Economies, "This book is perhaps the first one attempting to build a framework to analyze the political and economic relations between China and Taiwan during the period from President Lee Teng-hui to President Chen Shui-bian . . . I recommend this book for those who are interested in the long-term relationship between Beijing and Taipei."-Wei-Hsiu Huant, The Developing Economies, "Scott L, Kastner . . . provides an intriguing reading of the recent history of cross-strait relations in his attempt to address the puzzling aspects of a trend at the heart of political debates in Taiwan today."-Robert Green, Taiwan Review, "This important book provides an innovative analysis of relations across the Taiwan Strait and, more generally, enhances our theoretical understanding of the political economy of national security in an era of globalization." —Thomas Christensen, Professor of Politics and International Affairs and Director of the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program, Princeton University, " Political Conflict and Economic Interdependence Across the Taiwan Strait is arguably one of the most important works of political science theory written about the Taiwan Strait written in recent years and makes a substantial contribution to our understanding of political decision-making."-Taipei Times, "This important book provides an innovative analysis of relations across the Taiwan Strait and, more generally, enhances our theoretical understanding of the political economy of national security in an era of globalization." -Thomas Christensen, Professor of Politics and International Affairs and Director of the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program, Princeton University, "Overall, Kastner's book enriches our understanding of PRC-Taiwan relations in particular and relations between political conflict and economic ties in general. The reviewer recommends it to specialists as well as general readers."--Mao Lin, Chinese Historical Review, "This is first rate political science, presenting a very well formulated and interesting research question-does economic interdependence mitigate inter-state conflict, particularly for the Taiwan-mainland relationship. The work is addressed to a graduate-level and professional audience and provides insight into the larger theoretical issue as well as good analysis of East Asian Political and economic dynamics."—J. Description said 2 - 25count top loaders (50 total) so I purchased 3…should have been 6 - 25count top loaders (150 total). Package came with only 3 packs of 25. Seller is not responding to messages and item description is now changed to 1 - 25count. Took screen shots of post when I purchased. Went from a decent deal to way over priced. Been getting scammed quite a bit on EBay lately.

My cd was packaged as advertised, but shopping with this seller was truly a negative experience. I’d initially contacted this seller about 3-4 days after purchasing because I noticed it had not been shipped. I was told by the seller that it would be mailed by May 9 only for May to come and my item had not been shipped. By May 10, I’d requested a full cancellation and guess what happened a few minutes later? The item was marked as shipped. He seller lied and said it had shipped on May 9 but nope
