So erschien im Mai 2015 im Wirtschaftsteil der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung ein Artikel mit dem Titel: Politische Instabilitat: Vor diesen Landern sollten Investoren sich huten . Hier wird thematisiert, dass durch politische Instabilitat wirtschaftliche Geschafte gefahrdet werden und Investoren sehr sensitiv darauf reagieren. Zeitgleich regiert in Thailand das Militar, das in der jungeren Geschichte des Landes massgeblich die politische Situation mitbestimmt und sich im Mai 2014 an die Macht putscht. Diese Kombination wirft die Frage auf, inwiefern politische Instabilitat einen Einfluss auf auslandische Direktinvestitionen fur Thailand hat und wie die Wirkung auf die Volkswirtschaft Thailand ist. Hierzu beschaftigt sich die Arbeit zunachst damit, inwiefern die politische Stabilitat eines Landes die auslandischen Direktinvestitionen in dieses Land beeinflusst. Dazu werden zunachst die unternehmerischen Grunde fur auslandische Direktinvestitionen dargelegt und ein UEberblick uber das Thema politische Instabilitat in der Wirtschaft und in der Forschung gegeben. Anschliessend wird die Betrachtung der Abhangigkeit von auslandischen Direktinvestitionen vor politischer Stabilitat in der Forschung thematisiert um festzustellen, ob ein negativer Einfluss nachgewiesen werden kann. Im dritten Teil der Arbeit geht es dann darum die Feststellungen aus dem vorherigen Kapitel auf Thailand zu ubertragen und moegliche Stellschrauben zu identifizieren, die dem Land helfen koennen sich weiterhin positiv in der Region Sudostasien zu entwickeln.
