Large hand carved wooden bearded "Barbones", Ermitano, Ermitaño, Hermit, Human Man mask with seed pod beard and hair. Carved light weight wood, gessoed and hand painted. Attached painted spiky seed pods. Two eye holes. two nose holes, one open mouth hole. Two holes at sides with thread at back for wall hanging. Unmarked, unsigned, no labels or tags. Uncertain of artisan. In VG+ vintage condition with light general signs of age and wear, a bit of dirt and discoloration to painted surfaces, an aged look to bare wood backing. Measures approximately 10 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. Weighs approximately 1/2 lb. Will weigh between 2 and 3 lbs packaged.”
