    Western Digital VelociRaptor

    I purchased this drive and installed it for testing before reselling it. It is a fast drive, but not as fast as four drives in Raid "0". Average seek time is basically the same as any other hard drive. This drive cannot in any way compare to the G.Skill SSD that I use in my personal computer, but then again the price is a little smaller although not by a great amount. Again 300 G is not alot of drive for the price, but it is faster than a 7200 RPM drive. Also from other reviews on the net I have been led to believe this drive is not real fond of use in a Raid "0" setup. Yes I would recommend this drive for a user that is into high end equipment.

    Amazing Hard Drive!

    If you ever thought that the Western Digital Raptor was good, wait until you take your hands in one of this speedy hard drives. You will love it since the first moment that you format it, since everything is done faster. The only thing faster in my opinion is a SAS hard Drive 15,000 RPM. But the costs associated to it are so high and the performance increase doesn't justify the extra expense. Like the SAS controller and the cables. You can use a VelociRaptor in any motherboard capable with SATA ports.
