The first time I put it in my hair it snapped. Once snapped, the item appeared to be made of a material other than wood. (Plastic I believe) I choose wood hair pins because they tend to not snap in my hair. Sadly, I am disappointed in this purchase.

Wooden pins are certainly more appropriate depending on hair type. I have made a full refund and I'm sorry the piece did not live up to your expectations. Please note however that your disappointment could have been avoided by reading the title or description as it is specified in both to be of resin, not wood.
