Wer jemals auf den Höhen des Leithagebirges gestanden und über die weite Ebene nach Osten geblickt hat, der weiß von dem Zauber, den das fremde Land ausübt, das vor ihm liegt und dessen Grenzen im ungewissen Dunst der Ferne verschwimmen. Zu seinen Füßen breitet sich die blinkende Silberfläche des Neusiedler Sees, bis auch diese sich im Süden in der grauen Weite auflöst. Im östlichsten Teil dieses Landes aber, unweit der ungarischen Grenze, liegt das Arbeitsgebiet der vorliegenden Untersuchung. Zwischen dem Ostufer des Neusiedler Sees und der Grenze liegt der "Seewinkel " , ein ebenes Land, in das zahlreiche flache Mulden eingesenkt sind, die von seichten Lachen mit stark salzhaltigem Wasser ausgefüllt werden. Dort siedelt eine Pflanzenwelt, die weniger mit den Pflanzen des Meerstrandes, als vor allem mit jenen der Salzsteppen Südrußlands verwandt ist, eine Kostbarkeit, eine Ahnung Asiens vor den Toren Wiens und doch vom Bewußtsein dieser Stadt mehr gemieden als geschätzt. Der fremde Charakter der Landschaft, das heiße Klima des Sommers und die wenig günstigen Verkehrs verhältnisse hatten das Gebiet immer schon etwas abseits liegen lassen. Freilich vermag nun dieses Gebiet seiner Ausdehnung nach keineswegs an die Salz steppen der zentralungarischen Ebene heranzureichen, an das Alföld, das so überaus reich ist an Alkalisalzstellen.

Ok so I ordered this item listed as having free shipping. It was listed at $43.54 with free shipping. Somehow I ended up being charged $65.52. Then after waiting 3 weeks and having absolutely no tracking information I spoke with the seller who agreed to send a replacment, but despite charging me extra money was unwilling to ship that replacment in a way that wouldn't take atleast 3 more weeks. Ultimately this was a complete waste of time and the seller is not one that I would recommend.

This is not a coloring book!!!!! It’s just a book of black and white photos and even if colored over would look horrible! This book is a scam and I have received 2 items out of 3 I ordered and the third hasn’t even been shipped. Tried to message seller but only option given is to send the item number but no way to give reason for dissatisfaction with item! I would advise not ordering anything from this seller…
