When looking for a good high quality screw.
I had to screw these into 3/16" soft steel. I did have to drill pilot holes using a 9/64" steel bit. This worked great. I used about 190 of the screws. I had no screws fail. I did estimate the length I needed a little too long by about 1/16" and had to grind off the tips of all the screws I used. But they worked well and look great.
