Habe mir den Intel Core i7-940XM 2.13 Ghz eigentlich für mein Alienware M17XR2 gekauft.!Leider wird der Prozzesor vom System nicht erkannt.Die Beleuchtung geht an, die Lüfter laufen auf Vollast,aber kein Bild.Mein alter Prozessor direkt umgesteckt,geht sofort.Da Ich glaube,das der Prozessor In Ordnung ist,nehme Ich an,das es nur mit einem Extreme Bios funktioniert.Das habe Ich leider nicht.Sollte Ich neue Erkenntnisse haben,probier Ich es noch einmal.Besten dank.

    I upgraded my Alienware M15X with this CPU. The upgrade was easy, simply plug and play. My Windows Experience Index score on the CPU went up from 7.1 to 7.4. What ever that means, all I know is that it's a plus.

    Totally pleased with my end-results using Intel's i7-940XM mobile processor

    I've had multiple laptops and i've tested numerous CPU's on them and by far this has been my best experience yet on a laptop. I previously owned Intel's Core i7 720QM CPU, but even with all that capacity for multitasking and performance, i still needed a little bit more power, being a power user and all, so i decided to go straight to the maximum with my laptop's capabilities. By far, this is the best investment i have made for my laptop in conjunction with Arctic Silver 5 to keep it cool and help it last me a long time. If, like me, you're a laptop power-user or gamer by heart and you lack the monetary power to invest in those Sager's or Alienware's out there, let me tell you, putting this baby inside your laptop is the next best thing you can do. I'm happy with my investment and i bet ...

    BAD ASS

    I installed the i7-940xm into an alienware M15X. posted first try and runs better than expected. Overclocked it with throttlestop to 3.1Ghz constant at 65tdp and it just screams. With the HD 7970m I installed I play all the latest games on HIGH settings at 60fps. I also use this little laptop for video editing and studio recording and it works like a charm!! Very happy!
