I haven't installed this yet, but can attest to the fact that it will shave about 30% off my month electric bill. Electric water heaters are notorious power hogs and I've installed them in my other homes. One unfortunate gripe I have about the item I received is that it is not the one pictured My door does not have access to the the switch as pictured. Timer works the way it's supposed to.
Timer was easy to install and comes with three sets of ON/OFF pins. I use it to keep my water heater off during peak times when kilowatt costs skyrocket. It's doing what I hoped for, so am looking forward to lower electric bills. No complaints.

A real money saver in an electric bill.
We had just moved into our new home after both retiring and I'm in the process of updating several things. The timer that I just bought from you is a real blessing. I install a new 40 gallon A. O. Smith hot water tank and then I put a thermal blanket around it as well. Then, with the new timer, I have it set to go off at 10 P.M. and back on at 6 A. M. There is no sense in keeping it on though the night when we are sleeping. So it is off for an 8 hour period daily. It really adds up in the end, and definitely pays for itself with a little time. Not hard to install. And even if you need an electrician to do it for you, that will pay off as well.
